YOGA CONSISTS OF 8 STEPS


 

  1. IYAMAM- To get rid of evil thoughts and evil deeds.

2.NIYAMAM- To follow the moral codes and to abide by sasthras.

3.ASANAM- Physical exercise combined with breathing techniques.

4.PRANAYAMAM- Breathing exercise done in a rhythmic pattern.

5.PRATHYAHARAM- Focusing our concentration on one single point

6.DHARANAI- Experiencing God in a conceptual form.

7.DHYANAM- Controlling all the five senses and focusing our concentration.

8.SAMADHI- The perverted state of feeling God within.(Without the awareness of the five senses.
